The care I received from Mr Pathmanaban was some of the best care I have ever had. I cannot fault it. I found him to be a very dedicated, caring, understanding man and he explained what was going to happen during my surgery and recovery. Whilst having to explain all the possible collateral damage which could occur during such surgery, his confidence and bedside manner really put my mind at rest and gave me total confidence that I was in the very best of hands. On the follow-up visit - the first since my surgery, he showed me detailed scans of before and after surgery - explaining in very simple terms exactly what he had done. I am so very grateful to have been a patient of Mr Pathmanaban who's expertise I will always be indebted to. A huge Thank You. Abigail Victoria Clegg.

I can’t speak higher of the care I have received from Mr Pathmanaban. I have what I thought was a symptomatic Arachnoid cyst which I had operated on c4 years ago by a different doctor. However, the symptoms returned earlier in the year and were progressing very quickly - I found out the cyst had grown further so I subsequently sought out Mr Pathmanaban. Having seen many consultants and surgeons over the years, the way in which Mr Pathmanaban listened and took the time to explain everything was a breath of fresh air. Whether it was explaining what was causing the issues, going through the options and pros and cons of these or managing my expectations, Mr Pathmanaban always took the time to really ensure we understood and was empathetic to my wife and my concerns - this was crucial in what was a very difficult time. Mr Pathmanaban also evidenced his high level of skill as a neurosurgeon. He performed a posterior fossa craniectomy and fenestration/excision of the cyst walls on what histologically turned out to be an ependymal cyst of the fourth ventricle and cerebellum. How aggressive to be with the surgery was always about trying to find the balance between being as safe as possible but also providing a long term solution - Mr Pathmanaban seems to have got this spot on as I have made a wonderful recovery with my symptoms improving significantly and post operative imaging showing very satisfactory results. I am eternally grateful for everything Mr Pathmanaban and his team have done and for the impact this has had on my quality of life. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I sought Mr Pathmanaban for a second opinion after having a craniotomy for a debulk of a bone invading meningioma at another hospital. My surgeon at the time would not perform further surgery as he thought it too big an operation and too risky. I am so glad I did find Mr Pathmanaban. I was overwhelmed by the amazing care I received. I am now in a far far better position because of the specialised surgery performed by him. At the very least he has saved my vision. An amazing surgeon who also listens and cares. I am forever grateful to him.

Mr Pathmanaban is a truly amazing person. From our initial meeting he has always made my husband and I feel at ease and very comfortable at such a difficult time. He is very reassuring and has a wonderful bedside manner. He has a very personal relationship with both patient and family members, so much so my 11 year old son thought he was a friend of ours when doing his ward visit. He even personally rang my husband straight after my surgery to remove a meningioma to say the operation was over and all had gone well. I am so very grateful to have had the privilege to have him as my neurosurgeon as his support, care and personal touch has been amazing throughout. I will be forever grateful.

The operation, a pituitary macro adenoma, and all the pre op and after care, has gone seamlessly. Considering the amount of work involved in the whole process, it is a testament to the skills and planning of Mr. Pathmanaban team
